Traditions matter. Arriving correctly equipped and appropriately turned out ensures you are entirely at ease from the first drive to the last.

For our overseas clients in particular, Hughes & Co offers a discreet outfitting service designed to remove inconvenience and uncertainty. Rather than travelling with excessive luggage or risking unsuitable clothing, we arrange carefully selected garments and field equipment in advance of your arrival.

Established Country Fashion Houses

Through longstanding relationships within the country sports world, we are able to source clothing and accessories from some of Britain’s most respected names, including Musto, Schöffel, Barbour, Hunter, Thomas Pink and Clare Haggas, alongside a wider network of specialist suppliers.

From technical outerwear suited to a wet November pheasant day, to traditional tweeds appropriate for early season partridge, each piece is chosen with consideration for the estate, the season and the style of shooting.

Bespoke Tailoring

For clients wishing to take something more enduring from their visit, we are pleased to arrange bespoke tailoring through trusted craftsmen.

​

Made-to-measure tweed suits, waistcoats, coats and country formalwear can be commissioned either in advance of your arrival or during your stay. Many overseas clients value the opportunity to acquire garments made properly, measured carefully, and intended to last a lifetime.

British country clothing, when done well, reflects both heritage and restraint. It should feel natural in the landscape not imposed upon it.

A Seamless Arrangement

This service is handled privately and without fuss.

Garments may be delivered to your accommodation or prepared ahead of your shoot. Guidance is offered where required, though never imposed. The objective is simple: that you arrive on the peg comfortable, confident and appropriately dressed for the occasion.

As with the sporting days themselves, the details are considered in advance so that, when the moment comes, nothing distracts from the experience.
